Time Wasters

In the never ending quest to find things that waste my time the electronic 21st Century has aced it. Angry Birds for the iPhone (iPad) is at the top if my list.
Next is Netflix on the iPhone and iPad.

Clouds over Chinatown

Last night clouds over Chinatown after a storm.

Under the FDR at dusk - II

Manhattan Bridge just before 8:00 PM.

Under the FDR at dusk.

I walk down to the to East River a few nights each week. I go there mainly after dark and take some pictures of the two bridges (Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges) in their night gettup; lights along the main cables. Every once in a while I go down there when it is still light.
I almost always have a camera with me. Taking the nighttime photos are tough and I haven't gotten the "perfect" shot yet, but I keep trying. The advantage to gong down there in the light (besides the obvious one) is I can take shots of the bridges and the clouds over New York.

Noodle factory

There is a noodle factory on Forsythe Street just off Canal street. When you look in, there are stations with men pulling, and making noodles at machines. The air is always filled with a fine flour dust. Some of the workers wear masks while others do not. I can't imagine the masks much bit they are probably better them none. I bet the lungs of the workers is filled with this dust and j wonder what happens when there is high humidity in the air. Does the dust get moist and become a semi dough and then harden like bread dough left out on the counter?

Along the East River

At night a walk along the East River, under the FDR is a great place to come. It is cooler then East Broadway and the lights from the two bridges, reflected on the water is really nice.

Walked down Atlantic avenue Saturday night in search if a lottery ticket. Pretty sad but nice walk. :-)
